On Senderos' red card...
"If Kanu wasn't offside. Then, yes, he had
no choice."
On his team's showing...
"I think we had an outstanding performance and
that we were tested in all areas where the team can be strong.
First half we played fantastic football and looked always a threat.
We were 2-0 up and looked always dangerous. Second half we
were tested, mentally as well, and we have shown a great response.
Since the beginning of the season there is something happening in
this team. They fight for each other, there's a great
togetherness and a great love for the game. You see the team is
happy to play the way they play and you saw a great response
today."
On playing attacking football...
"We are ambitious, you know? We are
super-ambitious and of course that creates a pressure. But we can
live with that and this team has been built to have an offensive
personality, that means it's very important they express
themselves and I think when you watch the game you see that. We
always try to go forward. Even at 3-1, 10 men, two minutes to go,
we still try to go forward. I personally enjoy to watch my team
play like that."
On takeover talk...
"I felt that Friday's press conference was
already about that, and we have to at some stage to close that
debate. I think I have a good team and I have enough quality to
fight for the championship. I selected these players, I believe in
these players and I have enough belief that they share my ambition.
Money is after, always. It can always be enough or never enough. If
you have 100 and the opponent has 200, you want 200 as
well. Then you have 200, he has 400. Where does it stop? It depends
as well on what the other clubs have, at the end of the day I
believe that football is great because everybody can have a chance
by building a team with his own philosophy. "
On Club stability...
"You see the game today, I feel we have
stability. What is important at a football club is what is
happening on the pitch."
On his contract talks...
"We have a little break now and that situation
could progress and advance. We have some time to meet and it should
progress this week. If it does you will be informed."
On individual performances...
"I think Rosicky had an outstanding game in the
middle of the park, Fabregas aswell of course, but everybody had a
great attitude, great spirit. It's a pleasure to watch this
team because you don't cheat people, they feel the vibes coming
out of the team when you sit in the stand and when you watch this
team."
On Fabregas' scoring streak...
"I made a tape of him last year and you
wouldn't believe how many chances he had, in some games he had
three! When he was a young boy he scored goals and that's a
nice disease to have, sometimes it disappears but it always comes
back when you are mature. He has a lot of characteristics of Paul
Scholes I think. Frame, intelligence in the game, passing ability,
knowing when to go in the box. He's only 20, people forget
that."
