on...Arsenal's performance
"I felt proud of the boys today. We have had a lot of physical
games recently and we came here and played a very good
game with a young side with a good spirit. It was a very good
football game for the neutral. We had a very physical game against
Tottenham last weekend and then against Porto. I knew we'd
suffer physically in the second half. We came back but it was
unlikely to me that Chelsea would give us another chance."
on...Chelsea's late flurry
"When it was 1-1 they could have won it but we could have won
it as well because Hleb had a very good chance to score the second
goal. Overall I am very proud of the team because of the spirit
they have shown. They have shown great resilience and quality. That
is needed at the top level. I have some regrets as well because I
feel there was a foul on Hleb just before the goal. That brought
the equaliser but overall the referee had a good game."
on...Mourinho saying Arsenal had no ambition
"What does he want? We had an Under-21 defence and I felt that
they needed a little bit more protection. Overall we created good
chances so you can not reproach us for not trying to win the game
because we nearly won it."
on...getting good results against big teams but slipping
up elsewhere
"That is part of the learning process. Experience gives you
consistency. When you are young it is more difficult to be
consistent. It is as difficult to win at West Ham but in a
different way than here. We had an Under-21 defence."
on...Gael Clichy
"Clichy played against Chelsea, Porto and Tottenham. He had a
dynamic game. He dropped a bit physically in the second half like
everybody else. The fatigue factor came in. we had a Under-21
defence and it is a tremendous pressure to take."
on...Emmanuel Adebayor
"For me he had a tremendous game today. He was on his own many
times and won nearly everything in the air."
on...Ljungberg substitute role
"We play every three days. He played against Porto and
Tottenham."
on...Gilberto's performance
"At the moment to lose him as well would be a little bit too
much. Don't forget we had Henry, Gallas, Lauren and Diaby still
at home. If you analysed the team and the way it was built
you'll see it was not a bad game."
on...Lehmann and Drogba's altercation
"I made what it was - comedy. Not more and not less. In my
opinion. Drgoba was a bit theatrical today and I like him very
much."
