Arsenal can cope without the injured Bacary Sagna this weekend because they are blessed with two top-class right backs, according to Arsène Wenger.
Emmanuel Eboue will play against Birmingham on Saturday with Sagna sidelined by a thigh problem but their manager has no qualms about throwing the Ivorian into his starting line-up.
“You need two right backs and we have two quality right backs,” he said.
“No matter who plays – Sagna or Eboue – we always feel we have a strong right back.
“Eboue will play tomorrow. He has a good club mentality and he has a sense of collective belonging.
“He wants to be part of the Club and is a great player.
“Usually I will rotate him and Sagna and Sagna has had more games [at right back] because Eboue can play in midfield.”Copyright 2016 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source
