on the reasons for this defeat...
"We lost the game and frankly you wonder how. But in football you have to be realistic. I am sad for my side because they gave a lot and played well. However we did not control well the decisive moments in the game. Specifically the first goal. You cannot come to Bolton and leave them free movement on corners.

"After that it was difficult because you always run after the score. But I am sad because we were a team full of energy after what we did on Tuesday night.  In the end we come back with nothing. For me it was the easiest points we could have taken from Bolton in the past five years."

on playing catch-up...
"We were under more pressure because we were always running after the score. We were 2-0 down  and it was too much pressure. But we gave them too much freedom on the second goal and. I think the third was offside."

on his team's potential...
"I cannot fault my team. It is just sad. It is a learning process, it shows you can play good football and still lose 3-1."

on the title race...
"This game had a big insistence today. It was a good opportunity to come back. I don't what kind of impact it will have but it was a big blow."

on winning the title now...
"I don't know. But this team can improve a lot. In every game it is the same, we have a fantastic potential and yet we do not get what we should get out of it. That is down to experience and learning process but at the same time you feel this side has great quality and you feel there is a lot to come from them. You have to  be positive with them when they do not get rewarded."
