Arsenal may not benefit from Chelsea's hectic schedule when the London rivals meet later this month, according to Arsène Wenger.

Roberto di Matteo's side advanced to the last eight of the Champions League on Wednesday, beating Benfica 3-1 on aggregate to set up a semi-final clash with Barcelona.

The two legs of that tie fall three days before and after Chelsea's visit to Emirates Stadium on April 21 and will conclude a punishing schedule of seven games in 17 days for the Blues.

But Wenger is not convinced that will help Arsenal.

"You never know," he told Arsenal Player. "I am always a believer that you do not have to count on any weaknesses in your opponent.

"If you want to beat Chelsea, whether they have played three days before in the Champions League or not, you want to come out with a strong performance. I think it is very much possible for us to beat them if we perform."
