on the performance...
"I enjoyed it because Derby started strongly
and we needed to be persistent with our game to take a hold on the
match. Overall we have shown that we enjoy the game we play. It
could have been more but that is the kind of game we play. In the
second half, as Derby got tired, we could have scored more goals
but we continued to play well and move the ball with a game based
on movement, technique and combinations. We nearly respected that,
for 75 per cent of the time. There is still room for improvement
there."
on Adebayor's superb hat-trick...
"He took advantage of the work the team had
done in the first half. He came on when it was easier for us. We
know he can score goals, he has 24 [in the League] now. But I think
also Robin van Persie played well and Nicklas Bendtner played very
well. So we have quality strikers."
on Bendtner's role in the win..
"Yes [I think it is one of Nicklas' best
performance]. In the second half he played a bit deeper. His link
with the other players was good, he was collecting the ball and I
liked the way he played tonight."
on playing the Arsenal way..
"I feel the vision we have of the game. The
football we want to play is stronger than anything else and even if
there is not a lot at stake for us, you could see the players have
something that is cemented in them. That is the way we want to play
and they enjoy it. You could see it tonight that they go out there
to play the game we love."
on big decisions..
"We didn't play that bad and we just missed
that fraction that goes for you sometimes and goes against you at
other times. You could see that even on Saturday. I feel every
single big game has been decided by a referee decision."
on the Flamini situation..
"I have no news on Flamini. I am like you; I
read the newspapers in the morning to see what is happening! It is
a situation I don't master. I want him to stay and he will come
back to me soon, at the end of the week, if he stays or if he
goes."
