Arsène Wenger believes his side have gone some way to answering their critics with their superb 5-2 victory against Tottenham on Sunday.
A number of pundits questioned the Arsenal squad's mental strength in the build-up to the North London derby, which was seen by some as the biggest of Wenger's tenure.
But the manager felt the way in which his side came back from two goals down to run riot at Emirates Stadium spoke volumes for their character.
"It was very exciting to watch, the scenario was fantastic for us to come from 2-0 down to win 5-2," he told Arsenal Player.
"I was pleased with the drive, enthusiasm and the refusal to lose at any cost. That has been questioned about the team, so I am very proud.
"Yes [they answered their critics]. With what happened to our squad at the start of the season, you could see there was exceptional spirit there.
"They are always under a lot of criticism but when everyone is fit you can see that we are a good side."
