Arsène Wenger has once again poured scorn on the transfer window system.
With no closure on the Andrei Arshavin transfer saga, more questions about the Russian were put to Wenger at his pre-West Ham press conference.
But the manager was more concerned with discussing his own players ahead of a tough test against a Hammers side without a defeat in seven games.
The Frenchman claimed that the mid-season transfers are to blame for this shift in emphasis and argued that discussions about players who may or may not sign help nobody.
"I do not like it [the transfer window],” said the manager. “Every press conference is a bore about players who might come in than about the players who play and do something for the Club.
"Others get too much importance at a part of the season where it is more important to rely on people who fight for you than for those who might come in - that cannot be a great help for the Club at the moment."Copyright 2014 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
