Arsène Wenger has confirmed he will fight the charge of improper conduct brought against him by the FA after the game against Portsmouth last weekend.
The Arsenal manager received the accusation "in relation to his words and behaviour towards the match officials at half-time" during the match at Emirates Stadium. Earlier this week the Frenchman indicated he was not happy with the charge. At Friday's press conference he confirmed he would contest it.
"I will fight this," he said.
"I have not changed my mind about the FA charge," he later added. "What you want is everybody to behave perfectly, but you can understand that sometimes people are not controlled and have the right to ask why the referee gave a free-kick."
