Arsène Wenger believes Chelsea will have to win every game from now until May if they are to have a realistic chance of winning the Premier League title.

Despite a strong start to the season, Carlo Ancelotti’s men have faded of late and currently sit six points behind Arsenal and a further three adrift of leaders Manchester United.

They visit Old Trafford on May 7 and, with just ten fixtures remaining, Wenger says they can ill-afford any slip-ups if they are to retain their crown.

“[If] Chelsea beat Manchester United and win all their games they might have a chance,” said the Arsenal manager. “But mathematically it is in our hands or Man United hands.

“The other teams can only come back if Arsenal or Manchester United do not take their opportunities. So it is down to our results.

“It is simple - for me, we have a good opportunity to win the championship. If we do not do it, it will be Manchester United because certainly the other teams are too far away.

“We have a good opportunity to keep our run going and that is what we want to do. We are on a long, strong run in the championship and we want to continue that.”
