Arsène Wenger believes that September could be a defining month for Arsenal - starting with Sunday's trip to Anfield.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are all on the Premier League agenda for Wenger's side before October while the Champions League group stage also gets underway in the next few weeks.
Wenger is not overly concerned that Arsenal failed to find the net in their opening two games of the campaign but he admits that the next four weeks will be important.
"It is of course [a defining month] because we play big teams and how well you do against big teams decides your end position in the table," he said.
"There will be some massive months coming up for us because there are Champions League games too but the good thing about them is that these [big Premier League] teams are involved in Europe as well."
