on coming back from two defeats...
"I knew it was a vital game for us. The only result that was
important was how the team would respond, what kind of character we
would show today. We were under a lot of criticism and when you
want to make a good season you need your team to respond in that
kind of situation."
on his team's performance...
"We did it well, not only well but very well with a great team
spirit, great character. I concede that as well the turning points
went for us today, which was not always the case recently. The team
performance was great, and the attitude was great. For me that was
even better than the result. They were determined to win this game
and they showed that for 90 minutes. I feel we have a lot of good
performances since the beginning of the season and we added today
what makes success - that kind of determined and resilient
attitude."
on when Henry will return from injury...
"I don't know yet. It's very difficult to speak about
that because I want to sit down with him and tell him what I expect
from him, and where we go when he has recovered."
on the January transfer window...
"I can say we will not sign anybody, and we go on until the
end of the season with the players we have here, and they've
shown today again that they have the right quality. You see players
like Djourou who came in today, 19-years-old. We played today with
Eboue, 21, Fabregas, 19, Djourou, 19, Clichy, 21 - they are players
who have a lot of qualities. Adebayor, 22, Van Persie, 23 - these
players have the quality and they have to fight as a team and they
will make results."
on preparations for the Porto clash...
"It was vital for us to win, because we were a little bit
backs-to-the-wall. We got a lot of expectations today to respond
and they did it in a great way. It was vital. If you lose at home
today against Tottenham, you couldn't have a worse preparation
before you go to a game like Porto."
