Arsène Wenger has welcomed the week-long break his side has had since losing to Barcelona last Tuesday.
The Gunners' Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur was originally scheduled for the weekend but owing to Spurs' FA Cup commitments the game will now take place on Wednesday night.
That has allowed Arsenal extra time to recover from their Champions League Quarter-Final loss, a defeat manager Wenger believes can help the Gunners domestically.
"I believe the little break was welcome," he said. "It was a disappointment, a big disappointment to go out of the Champions League.
"But on the other hand it gave us time to reflect on our campaign and on the game we lost in Barcelona. But overall I am very proud of our commitment, I think we turned up with a very strong performance and it will help my team to improve from that.
"I am convinced that defeat will allow us to go a step even higher up now."
