Arsène Wenger has paid tribute to the Arsenal fans and thanked them for their support this season.
Wenger’s side host Wigan Athletic in their final Premier League home game of the 2012/13 campaign on Tuesday evening.
It has been a campaign full of ups and downs and Wenger is grateful for the encouragement his players have received.
“They have gone through a period that was very difficult, especially at the Emirates,” the manager told Arsenal Player. “We had some performances where we had disappointing results but they were with us.
“Today we have 67 points with two games to go and we have corrected remarkably well our run that was a bit chaotic at the start.
“The second part of the season has been very strong and our supporters need to be congratulated for that help.”
