Arsène Wenger has praised Arsenal's supporters for getting behind their team through thick and thin this season.
The Gunners have not delivered silverware in 2009/10 despite challenging strongly in the Premier League and Champions League. Instead, they will hope to secure third place with a point or more against Fulham on Sunday.
The players are planning to thank the Emirates Stadium crowd with a traditional 'lap of appreciation' after their final game of the season and Wenger offered a personal message to the fans when he spoke to Arsenal TV Online.
"A big thank you [to the fans], he said.
"I believe for long periods in the season they were behind the team like never before and they deserve a big thank you.
"We gave everything this year and we will try that again on the last game of the season. Despite some disappointments they have always supported the team very well.”
