Arsène Wenger expects John Terry to be at his best on Saturday despite any off-the-field concerns.
The Football Association has announced it will investigate claims that the Chelsea captain abused Queen's Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand at Loftus Road last weekend but Wenger is sure that won't affect his performance when Arsenal visit Stamford Bridge.
"It depends always on the mental strength of the player," said the Frenchman. "You have some players who cannot focus any more but for some players it’s a good opportunity to forget about off-the-pitch problems.
"I have had both kinds of players. I had players who when they had these kind of problems they were better on the pitch than before, and I had players who couldn’t play at all.
"I would rather place Terry in the second category but he does well under pressure."Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source 28 Oct 2011
