Arsène Wenger has hinted that he may not need to buy a new goalkeeper in the summer because he already has plenty of talent in that department - including Wojciech Szczesny.
The Polish keeper is expected make his return from a finger injury against Liverpool and the manager says that Szczesny and his compatriot Lukasz Fabianski, who has been sidelined since January, will be involved in that fight for the No 1 shirt next season.
"Szczesny he has the calibre to be a goalkeeper at Arsenal Football Club and we have Fabianski as well," said Wenger.
"Szczesny has the potential [to be No 1]. It will be a fight because Fabianski will be back. We still have Almunia too, he has one year to go [on his contract].
"We can always in mid-season call Jens Lehmann back!" he added.Copyright 2017 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source
