Arsène Wenger says Sol Campbell's performance in the North London derby shows why the defender is a winner.
The 35-year-old may have been on the losing side at White Hart Lane but despite a hostile reception at Tottenham, he put in a solid performance at centre back.
The defender started his career at Spurs but gave up the captaincy to move to Arsenal on a free transfer in 2001. Since then he has made over 200 appearances for the Gunners in two spells with the Club.
After missing last week's trip to Barcelona, Campbell started at Tottenham and earned praise from his manager after the match.
"Sol was one of our better players," said Wenger.
"I think he was outstanding and he has shown what a winner he is and if he won championships, you see why.
"He deserves a lot of credit tonight because he turned up with a real performance."
