Arsène Wenger will assess the freshness of his squad before picking the team for the season's curtain-raiser against Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Arsenal manager has no new injuries from the midweek internationals but is concerned about the fatigue factor ahead of his busy schedule.

"The players definitely out are the long-term players you know about - Abou Diaby [ankle], Gael Clichy [foot], Philippe Senderos [shoulder] ," said Wenger in an exclusive interview with Arsenal TV Online. "Also Freddie Ljungberg [ankle] will not be ready. Apart from that everybody is OK.

"We have had no bad news from the internationals apart from too many players played the whole game. We play three times in a week, add in the international, that means we play four times at the beginning of the season. I will have to make choices. I'll have to find the right mixture between people who have played the internationals and those who have not played."

Thierry Henry is fit but was described as only "a possibility" after playing a full game with France. Jose Antonio Reyes has a slight groin problem but is expected to recover. Finally Ashley Cole is unlikely to feature. "I don't think he will [be in] for the game at the weekend," said Wenger.

Arsenal TV Online subscribers will be able to see the full video interview on Friday morning. In it, Arsène Wenger talks about: the latest news on Ashley Cole and Jose Antonio Reyes, the chances of new signings, the start of the Emirates Era, all change at Aston Villa and why the Dinamo Zagreb tie is not over yet.
