Arsène Wenger believes his team will come up against the best footballer in the world on Sunday.

Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo has been in quite stunning form this season, plundering 37 goals in all competitions. Not bad for a man who is, by trade, a winger. And the Arsenal boss insists that his combination of style and efficiency has got Ronaldo where he is today.

Ominously for the Gunners, the Portuguese international was afforded a rest in United's Champions League win over Roma on Wednesday.

"He is the best player in the world at the moment, because he has the combination of the two most difficult things in life," said Wenger.  "Style and efficiency.

"I have always loved efficiency and he had that in the goals he has scored. He plays as a winger but he's scored 37 goals. You cannot deny that."
