Arsène Wenger is relieved that he can get on with his job on Wednesday night after his two-match UEFA suspension was put on ice.

The Arsenal boss served a one-game ban during the first leg against Udinese last week for comments he made following his team's Champions League exit at Barcelona last season.

The extra ban was imposed because UEFA claimed that Wenger did not comply with the conditions of his suspension against Udinese but Arsenal have appealed for the decision to be overturned. Now a final judgment will be made after the second leg of the Play-Off tie.

"My assistant [Pat Rice] will be less under pressure now," said Wenger after hearing the news. "I will be in a position where I can do the job like I wanted.

"But the most important thing of course is that we have a good team performance and that the players and me together make the right decisions."
