Arsène Wenger insists Aaron Ramsey will not be sent on loan when he completes his comeback from injury.

The Welshman is making encouraging progress after a broken leg and his manager has already earmarked him for a return in the Reserves.

There have been suggestions that, when fit, Ramsey would be loaned out to get valuable playing time. However his manager feels the 19-year-old’s recovery will be best continued helping the Arsenal squad in their Premier League title push.

“At the moment we are not talking about [a loan] at all,” said Wenger. “What is important is that he comes back into the group now and that he plays for a while with us.

“He is making surprising progress with the team so no [we won’t loan him]. Though there might be some clubs who want a good player like him on loan.

“At the end of the month he should be alright to play in the Reserves. That is the target.”
