Arsène Wenger praised his strikers after the goals flowed once more in Arsenal's latest pre-season friendly.

Eduardo marked his comeback with two first-half goals and Nicklas Bendtner also grabbed a brace - his second in pre-season - as Szombathelyi Haladas were beaten 5-0 in Hungary on Monday evening.

Robin van Persie also converted a second-half penalty as Arsenal made it 14 goals in three summer games. Wenger had an explanation for his team’s potency when he faced the media after the game.

"It looks to me that the cohesion is there and I believe that is down to the fact we have stability in our squad," said the manager.

"There is a great spirit in the team and that comes out in the game."

Perhaps the biggest plus for Wenger was the return of Eduardo, who had not played since he suffered an injury during the first leg of the Champions League Semi-Final against Manchester United in April. The Frenchman was delighted to see him back.

"He looks fit and mobile and what is very important is that he looks very confident too," said Wenger. "He doesn't look scared coming back from injury so for me it was a very positive game."
