on a convincing victory...
"Yes, I feel we had a good start. We were on a very good run
and we were disappointed on Tuesday night in Moscow. We wanted a
quick response to not drop our level of confidence. We came quickly
with an early goal - a fantastic goal - and after that our
movement, our technique, our pace made a big difference. Reading
never gave up and they were dangerous on set pieces and crosses but
overall we looked like we could always create something with our
mobility and quick, coordinated movement."
on Fabregas justifying his long-term deal...
"He gave the right answer today. He's a great player and
he will be greater, I believe. But especially there is a good
understanding in midfield now. We are very mobile, very quick and
of course he has a quick football brain."
on Rosicky's consistency...
"Rosicky is getting better in every game, I am very happy with
his performances. We feel that physically he has adapted quicker
than we expected him to."
on responding to the defeat in Moscow...
"You always worry because I have seen Reading here against
Manchester United and Chelsea, and I know from experience that
after a Champions League game it is always very tricky to go away
from home. So I was of course concerned by the difficulty of the
task today."
on Reading's performance...
"You could say that they left something in there [after the
Chelsea game]. You can analyse whether it is down to our quality or
the fact that they had something taken away pyschologically. It
looked a little bit like that."
on five Premiership wins in a row...
"Recently if you take our performances we have beaten Watford,
Charlton, Manchester United and now here. So it looks like we are
capable of playing this kind of game but I felt today we played at
a higher pace and with more mobility."
on the title race...
"Yes we knew we were under pressure because Manchester United
won and Chelsea won yesterday, so we knew that today was a big day
for us."
on how he will celebrate his birthday...
"As an aperitif, a little game on television. After, as a
dessert, all the goals in Europe on television again!"
