The title race is NOT over, according to Arsène Wenger.
Manchester United have opened up a seven-point gap at the top of the table after the latest round of Premier League fixtures. The champions beat Blackburn 2-1 on Saturday – their 10th successive Premier League victory – while closest rivals Liverpool could only draw 1-1 with Manchester City.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s team are odds-on to retain their crown while Paddy Power, Arsenal’s official online bookmaker, have already paid out on United completing a domestic clean sweep. Wenger is not so sure that the title race is a foregone conclusion.
“It's not yet over because none of the teams are really convincing with the way they play,” said the Frenchman at his pre-match press conference.
“Mathematically it is not over and I feel Man United could have dropped points easily against Blackburn on Saturday.
“For me no-one is dominating this championship in the way they play.”Copyright 2016 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source
