Wenger - No decision on stand-in skipper yet
By Richard Clarke
Arsène Wenger has not decided whether Manuel Almunia will become Arsenal captain in the absence of Cesc Fabregas.
On Tuesday, the manager revealed that he would be without the Spanish midfielder for up to four months after the 21-year-old damaged knee ligaments in the weekend clash with Liverpool.
Almunia took the armband when Fabregas went off on Sunday but, according to Wenger, he may not keep it throughout the hiatus.
“I don't know yet,” said the manager. “That can move a little bit. But that is not the most important thing. For me Fabregas remains the captain of the team even when he is not playing.”
