Arsène Wenger expects some movement in his contract negotiations with Mathieu Flamini later this month.
The French midfielder is undoubtedly the most improved player in the Arsenal squad this season. He has been the heartbeat of the midfield and forged a fine partnership with Cesc Fabregas.
The 24-year-old is in the last few months of his contract at Arsenal and will be a free agent in the summer if a new deal is not thrashed out. His manager is sure it won't come to that.
"I can only repeat what he told me and that he wants to stay," Wenger said before the weekend's game. "We should know more about that situation in March."
Wenger added that it would only be a concern if there was no agreement in April.Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source 3 Mar 2008
