Arsène Wenger believes Samir Nasri and Jack Wilshere fully merit their end-of-season PFA nominations for the pair's outstanding contribution to Arsenal's season.

Nasri is up for the Player of the Year award after enjoying his most productive campaign since moving from Marseille while both Arsenal midfielders are in the running for the Young Player prize.

Wilshere has been a revelation since breaking into the first team and his manager feels that the recognition of his players' consistency is warranted.

"I personally believe they have been rewarded for the first season," said Wenger. "I am happy and I believe it is fully deserved.

"Both of them have consistently contributed very well. After [that], it is all about opinion but you cannot deny that both of them have played over 40 games and, for me, that deserves to be rewarded."
