Wenger - Nasri and Toure confirmed for Albion
By Matt Fortune
Arsène Wenger has confirmed Kolo Toure and Samir Nasri have been selected for the squad for the visit of West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
However the injury problems facing the Arsenal manager has meant the Ivorian centre-half has been called upon sooner than his manager wanted.
As revealed by Wenger to Arsenal TV Online on Thursday, Toure (hip) and summer signing Nasri (knee/thigh) were on the mend after missing Wednesday's Champions League qualifier against FC Twente.
"Kolo is still short," said Wenger. "But because we have so many injuries I have to rush him a little bit.
"So compared to Wednesday night, Nasri and Kolo are back in the squad."
The remaining roll call of absences reads Philippe Senderos (hamstring), Cesc Fabregas (hamstring), Abou Diaby (thigh), Eduardo (leg), Tomas Rosicky (hamstring), Amaury Bischoff (groin) and Alex Song (Olympics participation).
