Ahead of Arsenal's Champions League Quarter-Final with Barcelona, Arsène Wenger has been reflecting on the 2006 Final.
The Gunners came close to lifting the European Cup in Paris four years ago but lost 2-1 to Barcelona. Jens Lehmann had been dismissed in the 17th minute but Sol Campbell headed the Gunners in front before half time.
Then, 13 minutes from time, Samuel Eto'o equalised and soon after Juliano Belletti fired in Barcelona's winner.
The two teams meet again on Wednesday night and ahead of the match Wenger has been talking to Arsenal TV Online about the 2006 Final. He discussed:
- if he will ever get over the defeat
- Barcelona's late goals
- the red card
- his decision to withdraw Robert Pires
- Henry's key chances in the game
- if the striker was over
- if he thought fate was with Arsenal before the game
