Arsène Wenger admits that he WAS interested in signing Salomon Kalou during the summer.
The Chelsea striker could line up against Arsenal on Sunday three months after his manager, Luis Felipe Scolari, told reporters that Wenger had enquired about Kalou during the close season.
Wenger was asked about Scolari's comments at his pre-match press conference and admitted that he had shown an interest in the Ivory Coast striker.
"We were interested in him but it didn't go very far," said Wenger. "Would I be interested again in the future? Not necessarily now, no."
