The cold, hard facts say that Arsenal haven't won - or even scored - for two games. But Arsène Wenger insists the bigger picture is much brighter ahead of this weekend's trip to Birmingham.

The team were beaten at Manchester United in the FA Cup last weekend but the Frenchman understandably puts far more stock in his team's performance on Wednesday when Milan were stretched to the limit at Emirates Stadium.

"I am not concerned because that [the FA Cup] was not our main focus," said Wenger. "Our focus is the championship and the Champions League.

"I feel we played outstandingly well against Milan, a team who were in three Finals in the last five years. We didn't give them a chance, they did not create one goal chance.

"We created a few chances and we are frustrated because we did not score, but overall we can get out of that game a great belief because we dominated a team which has nearly dominated Europe for the last five years."
