Arsène Wenger insists Cristiano Ronaldo is just one of many dangermen in Manchester United’s squad.
Although he may not have hit the lofty heights of last season, Ronaldo is sill generally considered one of Man United’s, and the Premier League’s, most threatening players.
Indeed, the Portuguese scored both home and away in last season’s Premier League fixtures against the Gunners.
However, when asked if he was worried by the threat of Ronaldo in Wednesday’s Champions League Semi-Final first leg, Wenger was philosophical in his response.
“Of course we will try to keep Ronaldo quiet but if you only focus on him, somebody else will be dangerous,” the manager said at Tuesday’s pre-match press conference.
“We are not especially worried by anybody. If you start to speculate that two can be a problem for us, you forget Manchester United have 11 good players all of whom can be a problem to us.
“Let’s just focus on playing well.”
