Arsène Wenger is convinced that Liverpool will rest their 'big guns' on Saturday.

The Premier League game at Emirates Stadium is sandwiched by two further ties between the two teams in the Champions League Quarter-Final. Wenger is still harbouring title ambitions but Liverpool seemed secure in fourth and hold a slight advantage in the European rubber after grabbing a 1-1 draw in North London on Wednesday.

The Frenchman has vowed to play the strongest side possible in order to win at the weekend and in Tuesday's return game at Anfield. But he argues that Liverpool may conserve their energy for the latter match.

"I believe they will make changes," said Wenger at his pre-match press conference. "I am convinced of that. I am not sure whether Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres will play.

"They have a big squad and a lot of experienced players who didn't play on Wednesday; to my calculation, eight players to my calculation with big Premier League experience."
