Arsène Wenger rued his team's lack of ruthlessness after watching Arsenal settle for a 1-1 draw against Burnley on Wednesday night.
Cesc Fabregas fired the visitors ahead after just seven minutes at Turf Moor but the captain missed an excellent chance to double Arsenal's advantage while Andrey Arshavin was denied by the woodwork and goalkeeper Brian Jensen in a frenetic opening period.
Burnley survived and hit back through Graham Alexander's first-half penalty, leaving Wenger to reflect on what might have been.
"It is very frustrating but it was a very difficult game, physically, on a very difficult pitch," he told Arsenal TV Online.
"I believe what is frustrating is that we were 1-0 up and then had a few opportunities to score the second goal. But Burnley played a real cup game."
