Arsène Wenger says seeing his side in the lower reaches of the Premier League table is “strange”.

The Gunners currently sit in 17th place after a poor start to the season and will be keen to get back to winning ways for the visit of Bolton on Saturday.

Wenger admits that his team’s position is somewhat disconcerting but remains adamant that they will do their utmost to turn it around.

“It’s very strange believe me,” said the manager. “You can always imagine the worst but we are here to deliver the best so that is what we try to do.

“Of course we don't look very comfortable but it is five games played. The games where we have many regrets are of course Liverpool at home and Blackburn away.

“What is interesting about the game is looking at Real Madrid, a fantastic team, but after the Champions League it is difficult for teams everywhere.”
