If you want to catch a glimpse of Arsenal's stars of the future, the Carling Cup is the place to look.

In recent years Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie, Philippe Senderos and Johan Djourou have used the competition as a stepping stone to regular first-team football. So it's worth keeping an eye on the class of 2007.

This year's new faces are Brazilian Under-19 captain Denilson, French left back Armand Traore and Academy midfielder Mark Randall. The trio played their part in hard-fought victories at West Brom and Everton in the previous two rounds of the competition and all three have impressed Arsène Wenger.

"All the three are very young, 18 and 17, so it is a tremendous achievement for them to match the players at that level," Wenger told Arsenal.com.

"They are young but have shown great potential every time they play. I'm confident that these kind of games can develop our young players and that's why we try to do that for this competition."
