Arsène Wenger says he is not prepared to rush Jack Wilshere back from injury.

The 20-year-old has spent the entire campaign on the sidelines after undergoing surgery last September but he is edging closer to a comeback.

Arsenal have five games remaining this season but Wenger remains cautious over whether to draft the young midfielder back into his squad.

“I will not take any risks with him,” he said. “He is making slow progress so we still have to monitor the situation a little bit at the moment.

“As I told you last week, the next three weeks would be decisive and now we have two weeks in front of us. I cannot tell you more.”
