Arsène Wenger admits he wanted Arsenal’s postponed Boxing Day fixture against West Ham to go ahead.
The game, which was called off due to proposed industrial action, has been rescheduled for either Wednesday, January 23 or Saturday, January 26.
“Ideally I would have loved to play,” Wenger said.
“I always prefer to play the game. The authorities decided to cancel the game so we have to accept it and play that game at another moment of the season. I would have preferred to play.
“We will practice on Boxing Day for sure. Christmas Day I have not decided yet.”
