Arsène Wenger does not want the line to be drawn at goal-line technology.

On Thursday the Arsenal manager welcomed the FA’s announcement that the system could be implemented as soon as next season but he believes even more should be done to right the wrong decisions that can influence games.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference at London Colney, Wenger said: “The earlier the better. I am a big fan and I am an even bigger fan of more technology in the game.

“I just want to reduce the level of injustice and for me that has nothing to do with the money involved.

“I just want the right decisions to be made as much as possible and technology can help.

“I want more,” he added. “Penalty calls, offsides - these kinds of things. But only at the demand of the central referee. He will have the command. When he feels he needs help, let's have access to technology.

“It's better than having somebody who talks two minutes with the referee during the game saying something was offside, or another player saying somebody dived in the box and has a go at the referee.

“You waste more time with these things than with technology.”
