Arsène Wenger
Wenger - I've chosen my keeper for Spurs
By Nick Teale
Arsène Wenger has already decided who will play in goal for the North London derby on Saturday – but is refusing to reveal his choice.
Manuel Almunia has not played since the 4-2 defeat at Manchester City in September due to a chest infection.
The keeper has been available for the last two weeks but impressive performances have seen Vito Mannone keep his place between the sticks.
Both fans and the media have been speculating as to who should start in goal on Saturday but Wenger is remaining tight-lipped.
"I've decided who will start but I won't tell you," he said at Friday's press conference.
The manager also confessed that while Mannone has got the nod recently, Almunia has given him a persistent dilemma.
"I'm always tempted to start with Manuel Almunia," said the Frenchman. "But he was sick for a long time and it takes some time to come back.
"A player who is on the bench wants to play. The job of a professional footballer is to perform well when he plays and when he doesn't play do everything to play the next game."
