Arsène Wenger insists he will come through his latest dip in fortunes - just as he has before.
The Frenchman is preparing his side to face Blackburn Rovers at Emirates Stadium on Saturday as Arsenal look for their first win in five Premier League matches.
Wenger has been criticised in some quarters but he has experienced turbulent times before and is confident the team will emerge strongly again.
“Look, at the moment we are in the Champions League,” he said. “And only Chelsea [of the other Premier League teams] are in it. And last year we were in four competitions and I had the same press conference - it was all doom and gloom. For the whole season.
“On the whole now it is the way it is but last year we were going in four competitions, which nobody has done for years now. The only questions I had were: ‘If you do not make it’, ‘If you do not win’, ‘If you do not...’. It is like that.
“But we will try to do as well as we can. At the moment we play against AC Milan. Many people will watch it on television.
“I’m just worried to do as well as I can for this club, every day. I will let other people judge how good it is.
“At the moment it’s a bit under scrutiny but it doesn’t stop me from being as motivated as I’ve always been to do well for the Club. And to do well for the Club is to play the football I want to play and to win football games.”
