Wenger - I just ignore flak from the stands

Abuse from the stands no longer worries Arsène Wenger.
The issue is in the news because of the stick meted out to Sol Campbell at Fratton Park last weekend by Tottenham fans. The Arsenal manager described that abuse as “disappointed love”. However the same description could not be applied to the flak he receives in various grounds around the country. He response is simply to pay no attention.
“I have been confronted with that many times,” he said. “It is difficult.
“I have ignored it because I am old enough to know who I am and who I am not so it didn't affect me at all.
“If you respond to it you have no chance to win, you become mad and upset. So when you are the victim you can only ignore it.”
