Arsène Wenger has not even investigated the possibility of a move for Thierry Henry.
The Arsenal legend is back at London Colney to maintain his fitness levels ahead of his third MLS campaign with New York Red Bull and he took part in his old club's 125th anniversary celebrations last week, during which a statue of Henry was unveiled outside Emirates Stadium.
Rumours that he could soon appear inside the ground have intensified since another MLS star, Landon Donovan, agreed to return to Everton on loan until late February.
Wenger has not ruled out signing a striker to bolster his squad while Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho are at the Africa Cup of Nations but Henry is not necessarily on his radar.
"I haven't even investigated that," said Wenger.
"I cannot tell you even if there is a chance because I haven't even made any approach, not to him nor his club.
"I do not always master all my thoughts so it has to come through my brain at some stage but I haven't been concrete on the case."Copyright 2016 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
