Arsène Wenger
Wenger - I have not found anyone special
By Chris Harris
The January transfer window opens in less than a fortnight but Arsène Wenger has still not identified the "special" talent he would consider bringing to Arsenal.
During his exclusive webchat with Arsenal TV Online on Tuesday, the Frenchman admitted that a transfer was "feasible" before the end of next month. However, three days later at his pre-match press conference, Wenger was no closer to reinforcing his squad.
Indeed, the Arsenal manager's main priority at the moment is to work with the players he has at his disposal and give them the chance to prove themselves.
"No, I have not found anyone special yet and I have not seen anyone special yet," said Wenger.
"More than any special position I am looking at opportunities, but at the moment I am more focused on getting this team to where I feel it can be and prove to people that this team deserves confidence and belief in them because I highly believe that without buying, we can do it.
"That's what I want to show until the first of January and start to convince people that not necessarily in the transfer market will we get back in the race. It is with our quality, our belief, our commitment."
