Arsène Wenger was satisfied with Sturm Graz's showing in Wednesday's 3-0 friendly victory.
The manager also believes Austrian football is improving thanks to the young talent being brought though in their country.
Arsenal won the match 3-0 and Wenger was pleased with the test his team faced.
"In the first half Sturm Graz played quite well defensively," he said. "Altogether it was our second match for the pre-season and I am quite satisfied with the evening.
"Of course there is a difference [between the Austrian League and the Premier League] but Austria is on a good way and with young players.
"The English scouting system is a lot better and there is a lot more money they can use. There is a difference but Austrian football is on a good way."
