Arsène Wenger will wait as long as possible before naming his team for tonight's game against Charlton.
The Arsenal manager went into Saturday's game at Sheffield United without nine first-team players. Of those Alexander Hleb appears to have the best chance of returning to the squad while Thierry Henry was due for an assessment on New Year's Day. However Julio Baptista has joined the injury list.
"At the moment it is difficult to say [who will play against Charlton]," Wenger told Arsenal TV Online on Sunday.
"Hleb certainly has a chance, Henry I will see about. It looks like Emmanuel Eboue will not be back and Emmanuel Adebayor will still be out. We have a few uncertainties from Sheffield United - Robin van Persie got a knock on his ankle and Baptista will be out definitely. He had a kick and has a bad ankle.
"We have to assess the situation as late as possible."
For the record the nine players who missed the defeat at Bramall
Lane were: Henry (hamstring), Freddie Ljungberg (hamstring),
William Gallas (thigh), Eboue (ankle), Abou Diaby (ankle), Adebayor
(thigh), Johan Djourou (hamstring), Theo Walcott (back) and Hleb
