Arsène Wenger insists that his friendship with Thierry Henry will not be a factor when Arsenal meet Barcelona in the Champions League.
The legendary striker's return to Emirates Stadium is one of many mouthwatering sub-plots to the pick of the Quarter-Final ties and Henry is guaranteed a warm reception after scoring a record 226 goals for the club he left in 2007.
Having worked so closely with Henry at Monaco and Arsenal, it's no surprise that Wenger and Henry still keep in touch. But the manager will be concentrating on his current squad - not a former player - when Barcelona arrive in London later this month.
"We [Thierry and I] are always in contact," said Wenger. "Why not? But I believe what is important is on the day that everyone sees a good football game and that we win it! The best way is to focus on us and not too much on our opponents."
Henry has occasionally been linked with a return to Arsenal, either in a playing or coaching capacity. Wenger believes his compatriot could one day move into coaching - but not necessarily in North London.
"He could answer that better," said Wenger. "If you ask me if he has the potential to do it [go into coaching], I would say yes. I believe at the moment we are not looking for any coach at our club and what will happen in the future I will not decide."
