Arsene Wenger wants to respect English football's traditions - and that means giving Manchester United a 'guard of honour' on Sunday.
Sir Alex Ferguson's team clinched the title at Old Trafford on Monday night and it's customary for the champions to be welcomed onto the pitch by their next opponents.
Man United gave Arsenal that honour after George Graham's side won the title before the teams met at Highbury in May 1991. Wenger never had any doubt that his players would return the favour 22 years on.
"First of all I am French and work in England and I want the English tradition to be respected," he said.
"When you work somewhere abroad, you have to respect the culture of the country. That is part of the tradition of English football and I want that of course to be respected.
"I hope, yes, that it will happen to us next year. But we are guided by the fact that we want to win our last four games and that is the next one. We know it is a difficult hurdle for us. Will it add something to our motivation? I don’t know."
