The Premier League is too unpredictable this season to guarantee any team one of the top four spots, according to Arsène Wenger.

Arsenal sit alongside Chelsea and both Manchester clubs at the top of the table, though like last season there are a number of clubs pushing to break into the Champions League places.

The Arsenal manager believes the quality of the teams in the league means the gap is not what it once was.

“Nobody is head and shoulders above the others,” said Wenger.

“It is very difficult today to predict, let's see. It is an interesting league.

“There are other teams who are in there, so it will be down to consistency and the way any team can improve from now until May.

“I believe we have good room for improvement, a good attitude, good talent but there is still a long way to go.”
